Confirmation
Confirmation
Confirmation deepens our baptismal life that calls us to be missionary witnesses of Jesus Christ in our families, neighborhoods, society, and the world. . . . We receive the message of faith in a deeper and more intensive manner with great emphasis given to the person of Jesus Christ, who asked the Father to give the Holy Spirit to the Church for building up the community in loving service.
~from the United States Catholic Catechism for Adults
Confirmation is celebrated once per year usually during the Easter Season. Candidates for this Sacrament are those who are in 11th grade and adults who have not yet celebrated the Sacrament. In both cases, preparation is necessary.

Have you received other sacraments but still wish to receive Confirmation? Contact the Parish office at your Church to get started.
PRAYER FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT
Holy Spirit, fan into flame the gifts
I received in my Baptism and Confirmation.
I want to receive the fire of Your love
as Your disciples did at Pentecost.
Come with wonder and awe,
with wisdom, understanding, and counsel,
with courage and faith in You.
Holy Spirit, may my actions witness
to Your presence in my life.
Help me to see the ways my strengths
can serve others in their weakness.
In all my interactions, I want to radiate
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Breathe new life into the world through me.
Amen.
